I think there are some things in life that everyone should experience. Here is a list of some things I recommend.

1 - A pipe - I know this sounds strange but there is nothing better than a good pipe with your choice of tobacco. If you are just starting out I suggest 6 Kings. It is best to me on a cool brisk day.

2 - A beard (for men only) - Thats right guys there is something amazing about having facial hair. It says many things about you as a man. In some ways it could be the rebellious side of me saying, "No I will not shave my face for you." If you have never grown facial hair you may start slower with a goatee or some form of chin hair. Maybe start off with the general of the beard, the mustache. Or you could go real old school and do the chin strap or AKA the Abe Lincoln. Whatever you choose I encourage you to eventually go for the gold and cover the whole face, especially now with the weather changing.

3- Exercise - Growing up I was addicted to sports. Honestly it was real sad at how much I knew about football and basketball. My father, mother, and sisters were all amazing athletes and so sports came very natural to me. Over time my skills caught up with my rapid height growth and I became a pretty descent basketball and football player. Over time like most males my skills wasted away. I felt myself becoming your typical couch potato, who talked about his "glory days." Then my wife tells me she is pregnant. I then started thinking about my father and how he used to beat the crap as a teenager. I then made up my mind that I was going to get back in shape so one day I could talk trash to Ivey and beat the crap out of him. I choose to exercise by playing basketball and lifting the weights. I suggest you consult your doctor and get your butt moving. It will make a huge difference in your life!

4 - Going to a concert of your favorite band/artist - If you have never been moved by music, then you should start there and not a concert, but if music has moved you before, I promise you there is nothing cooler than seeing and feeling that music live. I saw my favorite band last year around this time and it was one of the amazing times of my life. Look on line today and find if they are touring and book the tickets. I promise you will not regret it.

5 - Going to a different country - I have only done this a couple of times and it was incredible. Seeing the world outside of the US will totally change your view of the world. It makes you feel really small. I suggest going over an ocean, but wherever is fine. Just go and enjoy the culture. I promise you will not be let down.

6 - Sushi - This comes from my trip to Korea. Just try it please.

7 - Start a family tradition - Trust me I really feel this will add years to your life.

8 - Read a book - I would suggest something but you will have to comment and ask me about this one.

9 - Help someone - Anyone. Just reach out!

    10 - Love someone - See above

Well just wanted to post something so what better to post than some photos of my kido!!  He has to be one of the cutest kids alive. I will say he is rather chunky much like his father is, but the difference is his chuckiness is cute and mine is gross. Well anyway I hope you enjoy.

Lets just say being a father is GRAND!!! I love every minute of it...well maybe not every minute of it. When he decides that it is time to pee, and that time just happens to be when i am changing his diaper, that minute is not fun. My wife and I are starting to figure out things about him. It is fun watching him grow every day. It is fun when he gets tickled. He has this little crooked grin that cracks me up. see below

I am so thankful that he is in my life. It puts so many things in perspective. You have a deeper  understanding of who  your parents are. Your life makes a little sense. Anyway I will keep xanga posted on my boy.

Here's one more for your viewing pleasure.

Well it happened! I am officially a dad. My wife gave birth to our son at 8:02 am on June 11th. It by far was the most amazing thing I have ever seen. I have told a few people this, but there is truly no feeling like it in the world. The only way I can describe the feeling is like this. When my wife and I started dating it took a few times for us to go out before I knew I loved her. But with Ivey, when I saw him enter this world I automatically would have laid my life down for him. He didn't have to tell me funny stories. He didn't have to give me anything. All he had to do was breathe his first breath. Well I will continue to update his life on xanga. I have placed a couple pics of him on here. Enjoy his cuteness!!
